
Bannard, Otto Tremont (1854-1929) — also known as Otto T. Bannard — of Manhattan, New York County, N.Y. Born in Brooklyn, Kings County, N.Y., April 28, 1854. Son of John W. Bannard and Eliza Landon (Stone) Bannard. Republican. Lawyer; banker; director, Niagara Fire Insurance Co., Dolphin Jute Mills, and Jersey United Gas and Electric Co.; delegate to Republican National Convention from New York, 1908, 1912, 1916; candidate for mayor of New York City, N.Y., 1909. Died, of bronchial pneumonia, on the ocean liner President Cleveland, en route from Seattle to Manila, in the North Pacific Ocean, January 15, 1929. Interment at Grove Street Cemetery, New Haven, Conn.
